Poker hand notation in captions
Poker has a written shorthand everyone reads: AKs, 72o, Q♠T♦4♣, 3-bet, 22bb, UTG. Captions that use it are shorter, clearer and searchable. Pokerscribe applies one style to the whole video.

Rules the grammar follows
- Hole cards are written high card first (AK, not KA), with s/o for suited/offsuit only when the speaker said it or the suits make it clear.
- Number ranks (two to ten) only become cards next to a face card, with explicit suits, or after a hand verb (opens with, jams, shows). “Four friends” stays four friends.
- Boards are labelled by street: Flop, Turn, River, Board. Textures (rainbow, two-tone, monotone, paired) ride along.
- Bet sizes: n-bet is hyphenated (3-bet, 4-bet), big blinds become bb (22bb), multipliers become x (2.5x).
- Positions: UTG, UTG+1, LJ, HJ, CO, BTN, SB, BB. “Big blinds” (plural, after a number) is always a unit, never the position.
